RAIN!

It's been really raining around here.
So instead of her regular "walk my dogs"
fuschia loafers....
Muzzer has been wearing her "duck boots"
which have the advantage of making her feet look more
like normal sized!

And this dorky hat on her head

And carrying a dumb brella

Sheesh

Me and Teka have been doing mostly this

And praying for my friend Tucker,

who has not been well for some time,

and now is refusing to eat

Please join me and Teka in invoking the power of the paw.

a note from the muzzer:

This is our first attempt at loading photos with the new browser.

It is INDEED as terrible as all of you have said.

Plus it screws up the spacing.

My New ......

My Sissie E.Rabbit has adopterated a Kitteh.

We do not know if it is my niece or my nephew yet. I guess Muzzer must've skipped that part in the "little talk," huh?

Should I have a shower?

Do you think she will let me be godfather?

I sure hope it is house broken!

Food for Dogs....Dogs Rule, ya know

OK, muzzer has been lazy, but me and Gussie think we gots this figgered out.

We just read on miss Mayzie's blog about this thing that the Pedigree peepul are doin.

If we post the points below, then the nice peoples at Pedigree(r) have come up with prolly the easiest way EVER to keep food in the bowls of shelter dogs around the country:

•Each year, more than 4 million dogs end up in shelters and breed rescue organizations. Pedigree created The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive to help shine a spotlight on the plight of these homeless dogs.

•This year the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive is raising awareness for homeless dogs by donating a bowl of food to shelter dogs for everyone who becomes a “Fan” or “Likes” The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive on Facebook. So far more than 1 million bowls have been donated.

•For each blog that posts about the PEDIGREE® Adoption Drive through September 19, PEDIGREE® will donate a bag of their new Healthy Longevity Food for Dogs to shelters nationwide. It’s simple: Write a post, send out an email, add a blurb to a newsletter and help a dog.

•Thursday, September 16 through Sunday, September 19, the Pedigree BlogPaws bloggers will host a Blog Hop, to help raise awareness for the “Write a post, help a dog” effort. You can make a difference.

Now to complete this, we gotta go link to a blog that tells all about this. We are way down at the end of the list.

And please go watch the film about HARVEY at Miss Mayzie's blog, because it is really good.

Kisses to all
Gussie N Teka
(both of us are rescues, well, kind of)

brief update

Muzzer sends good reports from St. Loulis, and stories of cans of chili that have expiration dates before I was born. Wish I was there to help her out! 2003 was a very good year, ya know?

Anyway, she thanks you for your most kind thoughts, and sends hugs and scritchies. Me and Teka are reading blogs, but due to the length of Teka's nails, and her disinclination to ruin her Manny Cure, we won't be commenting much. (dad is no help. He is watching the STL Cardinals lose the pennant race and crying himself to sleep over that. Sheesh. Hoomans.)

kisses from Gussie n Teka

power of the paw please

Muzzer is in St. Loulis to help take care of Aunt Marie, who is going to be 96 soon, and fell last Thursday. The good news is that she is out of the horse spittal. The bad news is she is in the "health center" where she says all the crazy old ladies go.
So we would appreciate all your good thoughts to get Aunt Marie out of the "health center" and our muzzer back to Virginniyah.
Thank you
Gussie n Teka

Non Comus Blogus

Teka Here!
(I have been waiting a long time to say that!)
My news today is that muzzer has managed to blow the brains out of Dad's computer, while trying to install Norton 360.
So....while we are waiting for the new one to arrive (a week or so) me and Dad have taken over the laptop and are only letting Gus and the muzzer use it occasionally! Plus the muzzer is going to St. Loulis again next week, so she and Gus may be a bit scarce for a while.
Me and Dad will get around to visit the bloggies, and we may leave some comments. He promises me that I can write to Sweet Willy Yum, and maybe I will even do a post or two here.
Anyway, you should not worry about Gussie and the Muzzer. I heard them conspiring to go to the liberry and use the 'puters there.
But...you should say some prayers for our friend Petey and his Mom. Petey's Cat-Bro Mica crossed the bridge this afternoon, and they are very sad. If you have a chance, you can visit them here and leave them a few words of care and comfort. Tell them Teka sent you.
kisses and hugs
Teka Toy D.

Teka Made me Post this..

In addition to reading lots of notes from wirey friends and airedale friends, my husky friends and goldie friends, all my terrier friends and pittie friends, and all my assorted Mastiff, (Mango says we gotta capitalize that) Newfie, beagle, bassett and other friends - muzzer b'longs to a JRT group on Yahoo.

Someone posted this poem on that list, and we tracked it down so that we could give the correct author credit(?) for her work and devotion.

I think this fits Teka to a T! (hehehehe), she is not so sure, but she likes to listen when muzzer reads it to her.

I've also posted one of my favorite pictures of the scamp. I think it shows her true pawsonality.

The Jack Russell Terrier

Find me a Doberman, I'll cut him to size --
And tear him to pieces, in front of your eyes!

I'm cocksure and bossy, the King of the patch,
Bring on your Alsatian, it can't be a match!

I'm a dirty street fighter, my language is foul,
I'll fight to the death, never throw in the towel.

Don't step near my missus, don't push me too far,
Get right off my pavement, take your hands off my car.

And when she's alone, I sit on her knee,
She knows she's quite safe, relying on me.

Don't walk by my lorry, when I'm at a show,
When I'm guarding my ponies, I'm lethal you know.

I'll follow a fox, to the depths of his lair,
But I like creature comforts, get out of my chair!

I'll not walk at heel, or sit when I'm told,
But I'm loving, protective, brave, loyal and bold.

My life is full of the moment, importance and bustle,
I know I'm the greatest -- I'm called a Jack Russell.

Have a great day

Gussie here
I'm exhausted
I spent the day at Dogma
getting groomed.
There must've been 20 terriers there.
All of us barking in unison.

Personally, I think she cut it a bit
short around the edges.

It'll grow out...and maybe
Muzzer will let me go to Auntie Ami
in New Yawk City next time I need
to be handsome.
